The action takes place in the 60's, the beginnings of the space era and a time overflowing with the sense of hope of JFK's Camelot. But it was the climax of the Cold War, when the growing tensions between the U.S. and the Soviet Union threatened the entire planet, and when the world discovered the existence of mutants.
It is during this period that Charles Xavier meets Erik Lehnsherr.Before Charles (James McAvoy) and Erik (Michael Fassbender) to adopt the names of Professor X and Magneto were two young menin the process of discovering their powers.
